Our Church?

  • What does St. Michael's Episcopal Church Believe?

Historically, the Episcopal Church emerged in America from the traditions of the Church of England. Many Episcopalians have many traditional elements in common with both the Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches, while we also share many of the Protestant understandings found in many Lutheran and Methodist churches. By being in the middle of these Catholic and Protestant traditions, we enrich our faith and grow in a deeper understanding of God's will for our lives.

    Among other things, we believe:

    • That the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God.
    • In the teachings of Jesus Christ, and that His life, death, and following resurrection provided salvation for the world.
    • We believe that the sacraments of Baptism and the Holy Eucharist are the two great sacraments given to the Church by Christ and are central to our worship.
    • That leadership is a gift from God that can be expressed by all people.
    • That God loves us all, without exceptions.

If you would like to know more about what we believe, don't hesitate to contact us today!

  • Am I able to request specific prayer?

Absolutely! Our church would love to pray for you. If you are in need of special prayer, click on the "Request Prayer" button in the bottom right corner of the website. Here, you have the choice to keep your request private, only for our staff to see, or to make it public to the church- so that more may pray for your need. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:6-7
